Getting started
Sign in
- Open travels.mycle.dev and select Sign in with Google.
- Choose the Google account you want to use. MycleTravels only supports Google sign-in, and only accepts accounts with a verified email address.
Your account is created the first time you sign in.
Request access
MycleTravels is invite-only. A new account has no access until an administrator approves it.
After signing in you land on the access pending page, where you can:
- Add an Optional note telling the administrators who you are or why you want access.
- Select Request access to send the request.
An administrator is notified. Once your account is approved you are taken to your profile the next time you sign in. If a request is declined, the page says so and you can submit a new one.
If someone invited you by email, your account is approved automatically the first time you sign in with that address — you never see the pending page.
Find your way around
Once approved, the navigation bar has four sections. On a phone they appear as a bar along the bottom of the screen.
| Section | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Map | Your world map with every visited location and trip route. Start here. |
| Edit | The same trip and location editor without the map, for fast list-based editing. |
| Library | Every photo you have uploaded, with filters and bulk actions. |
| Profile | Your account overview, settings, themes, and photo uploads. |
Administrators also see an Admin section with a badge showing how many access requests are waiting.
Selecting your avatar in the top right opens a menu where you can switch between Light and Dark mode and sign out.
A good first hour
- Go to Profile → Upload photos and upload a batch of travel photos.
- Open the Map. Photos that carried GPS data have already become locations.
- Select Add location to add anywhere the photos missed.
- Select Add trip, then add locations to it in the order you traveled.
- Go to Profile → Settings, pick a username, and set your profile to public.
- Open a trip and select Share to get a link.
